is there room?
is there room?
I'm finally installing my new gears tomorrow (I've had them for two months). I'm having one of my jeep expert buddies to help with the install. He was looking under my car today to see what we'd be dealing with.
He said we'd have to remove the sway bar, that's a gimmie. He also though we might have to remove the muffler. I think there is pleanty of room with it hanging there. I've ready many post about changing gears and haven't heard of anyone removing the muffler.
Did anyone have to take their muffler off? If it makes any difference I've got a flowmaster exhaust.
Thanks,
Eric

You can leave both the sway bar and the muffler in place. I have done this a few times both on my car and a buddy's. It is much easier now that my car is strictly a drag car but can be done without removing any suspension parts or muffler.
