A 9 bolt should hold 400hp. Some guys run more than that through them on the strip. Check with www.moserengineering.com for axles.

I've been running my completely stock 9 bolt for over 3 years behind my big block (500hp/520lbft) with no problems. I 60ft in the 1.72-1.75 range. I orginally was running a 3.27 gear, but recently went to a 3.73. I am currently in the middle of installing a 4.10 gear with a mini spool in my spare 9 bolt for the track. More information on my setup and on 9 bolt parts is on my page at www.9bolt.com
