Speedo Gears

How hard is it to change the drive and driven gears in a T-5?

Car: '90 Trans Am-12.45@110.71

Engine: 355 w/AFR 195's Elem. 400/430 HP/TQ

Transmission: Tremec T-56

Axle/Gears: 12 Bolt 3.73

The driven gear is not a problem, 1 bolt from under the car. Pull the unit out, pull off the gear put on the new one reinstall.

The drive gear on the other hand is a major undertaking. You have to pull the trans and disassemble it. (remove the top plate then the back half, and you will see the gear.)
