How to tell if a 700r4 is a 30 spline?

Car: 90 IROC

Engine: 406

Transmission: GMPP 93/4L60

Axle/Gears: 9 bolt 3.27

How to tell if a 700r4 is a 30 spline?

There are no GM numbers on my tranny its a GM reman. What part of the shaft tells the spline count? Is it the smaller front spline or the larger spline that you count? I counted 30 teeth on the larger spline.

If you counted 30 then it's a 30 spline. The front shaft should have the same amount just smaller teeth.
