New converter should it be so lose on the shaft of the tranny?

I just bought a rebuilt converter, so I installed it on the front of my tranny to see if it fits ok. Well it feels pretty wobbly on the shaft. I can pull it up and down side to side, there seems to be more movement then what i feel it should be. I tried it twice and it seems to go all the way on.

Do they have some play in them or should it be solid on the shaft? The shaft feels secure with it off so the movment is in the converter. IM installing this thing this weekend And I will go postal on someone if I get this thing together and the converter is bad. What do you think?

Mine does that a little too. Once it's bolted to the flexplate and the trans is bolted to the motor it will be fine.
