I've been wondered a little while, why my transmission don't use fourth gear when I try to reach my car's top speed?

Transmission works correctly with normal and quick drive, except with top speed. With my 3.7 rear gears, car is not very fast with gear 3 With soft gas pedal drive (40-100mph) transmission use fourth gear like it should be. So I'm sure that transmission is that fine, how fine it was from factory. I've been hear many other samekind problems, but not much fix ideas for it.

Someone told me, that it's very normal with 305 engine. There is some valve different between 350/305 engines in TH700?

What should I do, that I can reach my top speed with gear 4?

 

the 700r4 will not stay in OD beyaond half throttle......you can get a kit to correct it ...do some research.
