please give input

A while back my tranny began to shift a little to soft and i it wouldnt downshift i was told to adjust my tv cable and i did it worked fine then it began to do it again later on so i did the same thing by pulling it further. then i put a cam and headers and intake on it. I forgot to add that the tv cable ended up being so far out that i had pinch weights used for fishing line to hold it out . welll anyway i took the weights of and when my car would go to shift it would rev up but no power then it would engage no torque of any sort. I put the weights back on and it corrected it somewhat but still kinnda does it in D or OD . Will the performance rebuild kits fix it whats the deal and how much will it cost to fix labor and parts is it shot or are the clutches bad thanx nick

I think maybe a new TV cable is in order...the fishing weight Idea isn't bad, but I think they would slip eventually from the pressure. The cable gets pulled pretty hard at WOT, this could be your problem...just a guess

sometimes it takes a little while to get response...especially on weekdays, but be patient, and the help will come. you can buy a universal cable from summit pretty cheap...its a real PIA putting the new one on, kinda tight quarters in the tranny bay, just be patient and you will get the little wire thingy hooked in the eye..good luck..
