I hear all this bad stuff about the T5 but does anybody have any NWC T5 that has lasted the test so far against a high torque motor.

 

Ive got a t-5 behind a 383 with a nasty, lumpy cam, just until i get around to getting a t-56....i thought it was gonna blow alot sooner. ive givin it some decent shifting....never banged the gears, just shifted a bit fast and hard. the things held up well considering i probably have 100 ftlbs of more torque than its supposed to handle. but i would bet if i gave it one really hard run itll snap it to bits......you can go fast without having to rip throught the gears...its all about the abuse you deliver on it...
