lengthening sensor wire to tranny...
im sick of this wire.... after jacking it up and plugging it in, it comes undone in a few days... and i lose reverse lights. this time it broke the retainer.
is it safe to assume i can lengthen the wire with any regular type wire? or do i have to use a special "extension cord" for it?
i also hear that this could be my vehicle speed sensor wire...

If you are refereing to a T5 then there is a plug for the reverse lights and a VSS. The backuplights plug is on the passenger side. I cant see why you would have to make it longer. If it is coming out of the sensor then I would assume the clip is broken. Take it off and take a close look at it. If the clip is broke then your can get a new plug at the dealer. Then just cut your old one off and splice in the new one. If you just want to make the wires longer then you can use any electrical wire out there as long as it is the same gauge as the orginal one.

To lengthen, use the same guage wire, solder & shrink tube to splice. Or use a solderless crimp connector that you heat to shrink & seal.
