ok my buddy has a shift kit for a 4l60e he said he`d give me the kit if i want it but i have a 700r4 hees not sure if it will work he has rebuilt both kinds of trannies from what he said the only difference he saw inside them was the selonoids on the 4l60e.............does anyone know if that shift kit will work on my tranny?

 

I dont know if they would work, but I am against putting anything that has been used by another transmisson into my car.

I am under the impression that the 700r4 and the 4l60E are the same transmissions, but the later is electric, hence the "E"

You sir, are correct. I believe there is no tv cable, since it's electric, just a guess. What's the brand of shift kit?

 

700/4L60 kit of any sort is not interchangeable with a 4L60E.
