rearend noise

i just put a posi in my car last night and it makes a noise like the brakes r hanging up but i adjusted them today. it still makes the noise and it seems to only do it when the wheels are turned even just a little bit. can anyone help me? it sounds like sh*t thanks

Did you add the posi additive to the differential?

Did you check the gear pattern after you installed the posi or just throw it back together the way it was ? If you didn't check the pattern the ring & pinion gears may be binding.

i add the addivite. i just replaced the whole rearend with one that was posi so it couldnt be the ring gear. im thinking the backing plate is bent and maybe rubing the drum it does it all most all the time this is the second one i had that sounded like this so does anyone have any ideas

I had the same problem, noise from the rear when turning. I had added 1 bottle of posi aditive...still made the noise, added one more bottle and it stopped.

Or you can be right, could be your backing plate.

i added two bottles so im not sure how maney should u put in the rear
