Hot running TH-200-4R

Does anybody sell aircool-tube oil pans for the GM TH-200-4R? Even a deep well pan with fins should help lower the ATF temp but I haven't had any success in finding special pans for that tranny.

I would suggest using a plate style transmission cooler such as B&M's. Use the largest one you can affrod. Go to www.2004rperformancecenter.com . Talk to Bruce (aka WE6 @ the www.turbobuick.com transmission forum), he is one of the leading authorities on the 200-4R and is very good at giving advice. He's very well known and respected over at the www.turbobuick.com tranmission forum. BTW... www.turbobuick.com's transmission forum is one of the most informative forums on tranmissions. There are alot of answers to be found there, even non-200-4R. Hope this helps.

They still sell those gimmicky pans? They are, IMO, NOT a good idea. I agree on using the TruCool (B&M repackages them).
