rear end question

i have an 85' Z28 w/ TPI and 3.23 gears (open rear) how many spines are my axles? I was interested in the SLP posi which has 28

You have 26, you could replace them with 28's if you wanted to use the slp.

DAMNIT!

well if i have to upgrade i might as well get more than 28. i was just looking for a cheap way to get posi. how much could i get a set of 28 spline axles for anyways? also, would a 1991 firebird w/ a TBI 305 have 28?

Axle/Gears: 3.42
Yep, 91 will have the 28 spline axles.

I scored 28 splines from a pull-it-yourself yard for $12 a piece. They can be difficult to find, but late v6's are becoming common finds.
