I have a 1991 305, with the 700r4. I need to replace the torque converter and the pump b/c they are bad. which converter would be a good choice to go with? i was looking at the TCI or B&M but not sure which application would be right for me...lots of future mods will be done...

thanks

Go to www.pro-built.net or call 1-800-776-3288 and ask for Dana. He'll tell you everything you need to know and give you the best customer service in this country.

BTW whatever you do DON'T buy one from B&M or TCI. Trust me, they'll do more harm than good.

I need a new converter too. In fact the new one is installed, but the transmission is still sitting under the car waiting to be installed. Anyway I was referred to Dana at pro built too. He was awesome. I got the ACT 2200 stall. He told me with the converter I bought I would probably pick up 2-3 tenths in the quarter. If he recommends a converter for you that they don't have in stock they'll build one for you. At the price I paid I couldn't have gotten a better deal. Everything came out to be just about the same as a B&M.

What kind of deal did you get? Last time I checked a B&M holeshot 2400 was $330, and the ACT was $565?
