Drive Shaft

I am looking to find out how to disconnect the drive shaft on a 1982 Firebird V6 for hauling purposes. I am using a car dolly and the back wheels will be on the ground. Thanks for all of your help.

Just loosen the (4) 7/16" bolts on the differential yoke at the end of the shaft and pull the u-joint out. Then tie it up somewhere and away you go. You could use some of that 100 MPH tape, too. That'll hold it in place.

Make sure you use some of that tape around the u-joint caps. If not, you'll arrive with a cap or two missing, and your next stop will be the parts store for a new u-joint.
