Car: 91 rs
Engine: Carbed 355 CR 9:1 xr276 cam
Transmission: 700r4 2600 stall
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Thinking about buying used gears any advice?
I am looking at buying a set of used gears for my 91 rs (l03).
What questions should I be asking before I buy them.
I know i should ask the milage and weather or not they are for a three series carrier(i think they are though because they cam off a 4th gen camaro). Any other things I should ask?

Instead of that, just go to the boneyard and get a whole rear end, out of a 90-92 6-cylinder 5-speed car. They will be 3.42s, and you'll get 28-spline axles, with no gear setup hassle.
If they're 3 series gears they won't go in your car because it has a 2-series carrier.
If they're 3 series gears they won't go in your car because it has a 2-series carrier.
