Any experience with the worlds finest 700r4's?
Their prices seem to be unreasonably low... But then again maybe i dont know what im talking about.

Could they be a scam, anyone even heard of them before/?

Look at what they're claiming this tranny can take.. Is it possible for this price?

Where do you want me to start? Notice he said failure rate, not comebacks! Since late 1995 I have had no" failures", based on what he has said, but have I had "comebacks", yes. Notice the hype Steve has to offer, "input drum failure rate", "sun shell failure rate", etc. According to what he says, NONE of my 700R4's should be alive & running, especially those in the 10's & 11's without the so-called "extreme duty parts", but they have, & some for years. Yes, I use the HD drum (not his), when horsepower goes above 550 & longevity is needed. I use the latest sunshell from GM & have found no better. As long as you some of you have known me on this board, have I not told you the truth as to what you need/want/desire, etc.???? "I never sell "HYPE", not necessary!

I usually look for "flags" that tip me off on questionable statements. One that jumped out is that he builds the Tranny, installs the Transmission in a car and tests it for $866? Hmmm. Something smells. I know some people do this step when a Tranny is being shipped long distances but they also charge accordingly for this and they would be fools not to.

There are other descriptions of parts which are, well, BS for lack of a better word.

Both Dana and I know what it costs to do quality work and use quality parts. On top of that you have shop, labor and extranious expenses, not excluding the cost of a warranty and after everything is said and done, you damn well better have made a profit or both you and the customer have been cheated. Why the customer? Because without a shop making a profit they cannot and will not A) be able to use the best of everything and B) be able to stand behind it if there is a problem.

I work at a shop that just recently sold their Transmission Dyno. Why? Because at great expense we found that it isn't really worth a hill of beans. It will tell you gross info such as pressures but it does not really tell you how it will work in the vehicle. Of course I suspected this since I knew that back in the '80's, TransGo had two Dyno's for sale! They too found that for the often subtle things they were looking for it was useless. The inside joke was that we were selling "used" Transmissions! The truth was that you could cook a perfectly good Tranny on one of those if you weren't carefull.

On the plus side they do a a flashy Website!

Thanks guys, i knew it was too good to be true :P
Im looking for a tranny that can handle up to 800ft/lbs for a 2 staged nitrous engine right now... It needs to have an overdrive so 700r4 looks great... I gave up hope on the zf6 and t-56 just because i KNOW i'd grenade them

Level 10 is selling some tranny's but they're only rated to 650 ft/lbs and 800 hp 700r4
