Fluid Leak from somewhere???

I just got my Camaro last week and it has a transmission fluid leak that I can't seem to pin down. It is the 700R4 tranny. When I got it all the pan bolts were loose and one of the shift cable bolts was gone. I replaced the bolt and torqued all the bolts down, but I still have a leak. It pools up in the plastic shield that covers the torque converter?? and drips out of the hole and some fluid is on the front of the tranny. I don't think it is coming from the pan gasket and moving forward into the plastic shield. But WTF is it coming from, it doesnt leak while it is up on jacks or at least not that I can find, I filled the fluid put it up on jacks(all 4 wheels and level) pulled the plastic piece and guess what? Not a drop fell, tried it in drive and gave it some gas but nothing came out. I let it idle for about 20 minutes and still no leak. So where is all this fluid coming from? It is a good amount, enough to pool in the plastic thing and spill out and burn on the exhaust after maybe 10 miles of driving. Any ideas?

Just how much fluid are you putting in? I had an issue a few weeks ago where I had too much and got it leaking out the vent hole near the top of my tranny. Hardest leak to track down for me.

Hmm, when I first got the car the same day the guy put in a quart right before I left. Drove it 25 miles or so, it was burning fluid off the exhaust. I added almost 2 quarts maybe 20 miles later tops. I don't think it is getting overfilled, when I checked the level after driving it there was just a small dab of fluid on the very bottom of the dip stick, checked with the car hot after driving 20 miles.
