Suggestions on a good tranny...

My new crate 350 (stock pre 85 gmgoodwrench replacement) is happily chewing the clutch packs to pieces in my old 700R4 and having fun doing it too. My tranny had no problem with my old 305 and i thought it was still good but it slips and has long delayed shifts after around 1/4 wot. To make matters worse i put a performer intake with my tbi and headers so it has wicked throttle response.

What after market rebuilt automatics are you guys using? I was thinking either b&m or a pro-built.

I would just have it rebuild using the performance rebuilt kits. You can get them from jegs or summit. If not you can purchase a TCI 700R4 or a ATI built one. The site for ATI is http://www.atiperformanceproducts.co...s/products.htm

Well having had both a B&M and Pro-built 700R4's I can assure you there is not comparing the two. The Pro Built tranny kicks the B&M's a$$ in every possible way. Dana builds some strong trannys that last, and if thats not enough his customer service is the best in the business. He will spend alot of time with you to make sure you get what you want. If you get a pro built I promise you will not be dissapointed.

probuilt sounds like a good deal... ive been hearing some good feedback on his trannys. Plus he's a member of this message board so i guess costomer service will definatly be good. Pro-built it is then. Just have to sell the s-10 to get some money for this.
