700-R4 how to tell if it is lock up or not

i have a 700 r4 trans and i need a torque convertor for my 383 stroker. i have to find out whether or not it is a lock up or not, does anybody know how i can easily find that out?

They just want to know if you would like to retain the lockup, yours is a lockup, but you could have a converter without that option.

Car: 1991 Camaro RS
Engine: L03 305 TBI, nearly stock
Transmission: 700R4, stock
Axle/Gears: 3.23 out of a V6/5 speed car.
If you have 2.73's, or even 3.08 gears without a lockup convertor, you can risk overheating the tranny with excessive slippage (dynaflow effect) at crusing speeds.
