iv done a search on this and came up with a few opinions....but not enough to convince me. iv got a 84 TA with the 7.5 inch 10 bolt. im gonna be doing the 3.73 and posi swap soon, and was wondering if the support cover is a good idea or a waste of money. iv got a rebuilt 350 in my car and the trans is gonna get worked on in a few weeks. i dont drag race alot, but i do step on it and let my tires loose more than i should. is spending the 140 bucks for the support cover worth it? im gonna be putting in a stock posi unit from a 86 iroc in there if it matters any.....................let the opinions start!

whats so special about the one with the braces (im assuming your talking about the "axle tube brace")?


another question....is a stock rear end out of a 86 Iroc with posi a 2 or 3 series. also, it came with 2.## something gears,,,3.73's will work on that right?
