How much HP/TQ can 700R4 handle?

Exactly what the subject line says. Also, does anyone know how much horsepower the stock 350 TPI crankshaft can handle? Thanks in advance...

Car: 1987 IROC-Z; 2012 Ford Raptor

Engine: Modified 350

Transmission: 700R4

The 700R4 can handle stock engines to approximately 350 horsepower and pounds-feet of torque. The stock bottom end of a 350 in good condition should be good for 400 or so horsepower. Good Luck!

With the right torque converter & transmission modifications the 700R4 can handle 525-550 horsepower and live for quite awhile.

Axle/Gears: also under rated

yep same here, pump gas 477 with a 9 inch 3,000,4.10`s and no traction, bout 550 hp and still going third season now
