Does anyone else have the problem of the heat from the trans coming up through the console?

I do and I don't like it!!!!!

Any sug's on how to fix?

Also, is there supposed to be that much heat radiating off of the trans?

it happens, run an extra cooler will help, if you get one with a fan it'll help more. it also might be heat from the cat or exhaust. is the brown pad in place under the carpet? the shift boot not cracked?

It comes from where the ash tray is. I can look in there (where the door swings down) and see the pavement. Is there supposed to be some sort of cover that blankets the tranny or something blocking the heat.

The periods in the picture are because I cannot do multiple spaces in the message boards, they do not show up. This took a long time (too long if you ask me) to make so try to understand what I mean..
