I went to the track a few night ago. I ran a best of 16.1 with my stock LG4. I was running a 16.54 then I removed my air cleaner (even though I have K&N air filter). It also has 3.08 or 2.73 gears in it (Not sure), and 700r4. What if I install a 87 firebird rear end in this? (I am thinking 3.42 or 3.73). The bird is an auto V6.

Also will it help when I do install gears if I put a mild cam in? (Like a RV cam?). I have 123,xxx miles on this LG4.

what do you 60' ,whats your shift rpm and what do you cross the line at?

 

I dont remember right off hand. I will look for my slips. It was like a 2.4 or something. I have 2.73 or 3.08 gears and I was on slicks w/ the posi engageing off and on (its usally a one legger).

I dont know what I crossed at (maybe 3500 RPM???)

I shift 1-2 @ 5000 and 2-3 @ 4800 rpm

The car shifts itself @ 4500 and I am a little faster w/ this shifting.
