No.
The higher ratio gears that are made special to go on a 2 series carrier are thicker than normal gears. So unless you can get a shim that makes things thinner.... you're out of luck.
This is one of the reasons I always advise people not to buy the special gears!!!! You can get spacers to put 3 series gears on 2 series carriers, and then if you ever happen to get the right carrier some day, you can still use the gears. If you buy the special gears, you'll be in exactly the state you're in now.
That's also why I advise people who want to know what gears they have to take off the cover and look, don't believe the tag, don't trust the guy they bought the car from, don't try the speedo/tach thing, don't do anything else... just take off the cover and look!!! It's so simple, and it's the only way to be sure.
If you haven't installed them yet, see if you can return them and get regular gears.

I got to trade them out for the thinner gear. Thank *** for nice people. I called up Precision and they gave me the name of a dealer in corpus. He offered to trade the gears for free. That is great because I did not get them from him, but I am not complaining.
