Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
which rebuild kit do i buy?
i found one for a 83-87
and the other for the World class 88-92
mine is a 1991 V6 non-world class
sooooooooooooooooo
which rebuild kit do i buy for my T5??
its in very bad shape and needs a rebuild badly
it grinds going into 4th gear
and it is starting to pop itself out of second

If it's a 91 it should be 2nd design ("World Class")
Look at it and see what it is. If it's 1st design, order the plder kit; if it's what came in the car, order the 2nd design kit.

A "rebuild kit" will not fix either of those problems. Grinding into 4th is usually caused by a pilot bushing being worn out, which doesn't come in the kit; and popping out of gear is caused by a worn synhri sleeve, which also doesn't come in the kit.
Look at it and see what it is. If it's 1st design, order the plder kit; if it's what came in the car, order the 2nd design kit.

if thats the case then, i think i know what the problem is..................
i put the car up on the lift at work when i thought my tranny was leaking
i noticed that the bottom 2 bolts had loosened them selves and one fell out
so this is possibly what is happening again i guess..................
that makes sense because 4th is 1:1
i think i might try to get it to hold out then..........................
i have a 700R4 i am going to rebuild..........and put that and a 350 TPI into my RS....................
