I replaced my 700r4 trans and converter awhile go and at first it would sometimes lock up but now it won't lock up at all. Tonight I tried grounding the F pin on the aldl. When I first did that, it felt like it was locking in the parking lot but then got out on the highway and it wasn't locking. Then when I came home I hooked a test like to pin F and touched the tip of the light to pin A with the ignition on and it just barely like, like a really small orange glow instead of a bright white light. Then I tried it with the motor running and same thing. Unfortunately I don't have a volt meter to test it but my brother said that if it doesn't light up all the way then it's not getting 12 volts. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure the TC plug hasn't come out of the tranny. It is the 4 prong one that plugs in on the top driver's side.
I had got some junk in the plug socket once and it kept falling out on me.
