700r4 shift point.

i think something is going on with my trans. i hadnt really tested it before but i noticed that when i would get on it my shift point seemed pretty high. so i tested my 1-2 shift today and i'm not shifting until 6k and thats at 95% throttle, at 100% i think it is going to be 6.5k at least. i dont need to hold a shift but release it, at 75% throttle i am hitting 4.5k. and its not just the 1-2 but the 2-3 i have run as high as 6+k. so normally to get it to shift i have been backing off the gas to let the car shift.

i have already reset my tv cable a number of times and if the shifts got any softer i would fall asleep so i know thats not the problem. what is everyone elses trans shifting at during a WOT run?

Maybe getting a sour attitude will help you get a response.

I thought the Z28 / L98 governor was the lightest one GM made, resulting in high shift points. Are you sure it's not sticking. My boss always rants about the little hole in the end of the governor getting plugged up and it plays hell with it.
