Transmission: 7004r
don't know what kinda trans I have

I pulled the trans outa my V8 S10, the conversion was done previous and I don't know what kinda trans I have. it's a 3 speed auto. the only thing I could find was series of numbers with the letters 'GM' behind it.

Engine: 350 TPI
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Most likely it's a TH-350 or a derivitive of the Turbo 350. It may also be a Turbo 400... I'd put $10 on it being a 350 though.... Sorry, I don't remember offhand what the shape of the Trans pan is for both. That's one way of determining the difference...

The th350 have basically square pans with one corner cut out. The th 400 have a pretty odd shaped pan, nothing really square about it.

this one has the square pan with one corner cut. so it's probably a th350. thanks

Does it say "metric" on the bottom of the pan? If it does it is a TH200, if not a TH350.

Make sure it doesn't have a bolt sticking out of the case above the cooler lines, if it does it's a th250...no good. Looks identical to the th350 on the outside.
