tv cable??? too tight?

tv cable??? too tight?
Is it possible to have the tv cable too tight? I adjusted mine and the tranny takes a while to shift durring part throttle. It was shifting really mushy on the 3-4 shift until i adjusted the cable tighter, now im wondering if it is a bit too tight?
