I had the 700R4 rebuilt a few months ago, i got it from a buddy who had it in a 81 camaro, the transmission never lasted more than a month at a time, it was behind a very mild 383. I had my tranny guy go through it, and told him its history. He said that it had a non lock up TC, but the tranny didnt have the vavle or whatever in the tranny, and that kept burning it up. I was hooking the throttle linkage up, i have a 650DP and got the holley bracket for the 700R4. When I went to hook up the TV cable. its not long enough. If I put the cable in the bracket, hold the button down like you are supposed to and mash the gas, the part of the cable, with the little ribs on it, actually pulls out of the part with the button on it. The thing is way way to short, its not gonna work. Which TV cable to I need? also, i put 3.23 gears in my car, I used the VSS out of the V6 tranny that was in the car. I think there is a green gear in there now, any idea which gear came stock in 3.23 cars? Thanks for all the help. I want to make sure I have the TV cable thing right before i start and move the car, that damn tranny was expensive. :hail:

 

anyone? will a TV cable from a TBI car work? or should I get one from a 86 model that had a carb and 700R4?
