gears for track

ok, what does everyone recommend for rear gearing at the track. I am swapping out my 700R4 to TH350 and wil be replacing rear gears(2.73) and need to know which gears would work best. Considering either 3.73 or 4.10. Should I consider steeper or lower? This vehicle will almost never be driven daily. Every once in a while will drive in town for fun.

What brands do you suggest? What should I stay away from?

What size are the tires? What rpm are you shifting at?

You'll need to know these to determine the best gearing. You want to be at red line just before the finish line.

Assuming you'll have 26" tall tires, 5500 rpm shift points don't need as much gear as 6500 rpm shift points.

Since you're still using the 10 bolt, there are only a couple of choices. 3.73, 4.10/4.11 and 4.56 are your deepest gears. Anything below 3.73 is a street gear.
