Knowing gears by looking at it .

I got gears yesterday. Altought I think the ratio is not the right one. The guy said it's a 3.55 ratio.

How can I tell ???

Can I count the teeths of the ring gear or something ????

Thanks

Divide the number of teeth on the ring gear by the number of teeth on the pinion gear.

Yeah, example, 41 teeth on the ring, 11 teeth on the pinion, 41 divided by 11 is 3.727272727272727272727272(forever) = 3.73.
