Which Street/Strip Kit is better suited for this(most complete and quality wise)
Hughes,TCI,B&M ,Transgo,Probuilt,Bowtie
Any hard parts that it is manditory to replace to bring it up

If he is a good transmission technician he'll know what to do. Every expert will have a slightly different opinion about what vendor supplies the best parts. Best thing to do is check out the guy by talking to people at speed shops. They see all the guy's on a regular basis and know who is building boxes that hold up. My friend who is very well respected likes the transgo components along with some special little tricks. He send's the case to be checked and then has it welded at certain stress points before assembly. An 89 700-R4 or 4L60 as it was renamed will be the latest version of that transmission. It has the auxilary valve body, I think the 32 spline input shaft etc. Again there will be a lot of differing opinions, just go with the recommendation of the builder.

Like Danno said, everybody has there own "method" they like to follow. Thats perfectly fine, as long as it does the job. Just find out who makes one that holds up. Ask around, talk to some people. Word of mouth is usually the best source.

If you want the right parts the first time and with the right torque converter for your particular application give me a call at 800 7763288 M-S 10-6 PST and I will answer any questions you might have concerning this. If you wamt to see what is in the rebuild kits I recommend go to www.pro-built.net and look up rebuild kits & torque converters. Let me know?
