My tranny have a wierd noise when shifting, before it's getting hot.
Now, are those bad signs? That's the way it goes?
BTW, my '89 gta has 100.000 miles on the stock drivetrain.

might help if you said what sort of transmission you have and describe the noise, other than weird. as a rule any noise isn't good, weird or not.

 

sorry, it's a 700r4.
the noise is like a 'schhhh'; not banging or clunking.

I still have to figure out if it isn't something about the exhaust touching something there...-that's wishfull thinking...-

Yet, isn't a way they all go?

slipping of any kind...
sticking of gears...
