Piston cover wont move, need help
I am in the process of installing the transgo shift kit and all was going well until I went to take out the 2nd and forth piston and housing assembly. The outer cover WILL NOT go in one bit. I used a tire iron and sprayed it with WD-40 and it will not budge one bit to even try to get the snap ring out.
Any ideas of what to do? My friend suggested an air hammer.
If I cant get it off can I go along without replacing those parts?
Also when I unbolted the detent spring the 'golden rooster' sprocket moved, do I have to place the end of the sring on the same gear it was let loose from?
Thanks,
Chris

No, you don't have to mess w/ the servo. All they are having you do is replace the cushion spring w/ washers. Its not an absolute must.
As for the "golden rooster" don't worry about it. Just put the spring back on. Once the bolt is tight for the spring, you will be able to rotate the shift lever on the side of the tranny and put it back in park when your done.
