should i use original hellhousing?
or should i use the one that came with the tranny
i didn't think about it last night but today i was thinking that it would be easier to just leave the bellhousing on it....

Not exactly sure what you are doing... but if you are trying to say you are taking out a T-5 to put another T-5 in it would be a lot easier to unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing and bolt it up to the motor then slide the transmission splines into the clutch and everything then slap the 4 bolts in it and be done.... its not very hard to do changed my clutch in my 86 z28 in about 4 1/2 hours.
dosent matter which bellhousing you use... just check them out use the one that is in the best condition

here's the thing
old bellhousing has a broken screw in on the bottom holes
the thing is that it's a pain in the *** to get at the top bolts for the bellhousing
yes i'm throwing another t5 in it
one more question
that thing in the bellhousing for clutch maybe
is it supposed to spring back when you move it forward?
i hope i can get this thing fixed by this weekend
any ideas on how i can get the whole tranny out...bellhousing and all

Allright....I beleive the thing you are talking about would either be the Slave cylinder which has a hose connected to it or the clutch fork which goes into the side of the bellhousing im not sure which you are talking about but one tip for you if you are going to bleed your clutch make sure that the slave cylinder is moutned up and it is touching the clutch fork otherwise it will blow apart!!!! The clutch fork is probably what you are refering to and yes it will spring back the clutch fork has a throw out bearing on the end of it which pushes on your pressure plate. I would suggest throwing a new clutch and pressure plate as well as a throw out bearing in while you have the car apart. The two times i have had my tranny out i have taken the 4 bolts out from the tranny to the bellhousing so i cant help you out much on that... I know once you get the tranny out it is easy to get the bellhousing off.. one more suggestion if you havent done so aleardy take your distributer cap off so it dosent smash against the firewall when your motor tilts. Good luck... i would really try to get the tranny out without the bellhousing first it is so much easier.... you say the bolt is broken (so the head of the bolt is gone) so why cant you just take out the other three blolts and pull it out.
