t56 shifter help

I got an aftermarket t56 and ordered a hurst billet shifter for a 93 up camaro to install in my 87 IROC. Guess what. The shifter don't bolt to the trans, it's the wrong base. Does anyone know what base to use? I'd really like to put my trans in the car

Yeah, the factory T-56 used in 4th gen Camaros has a longer base on the shifter and won't fit anything else. The B&M Ripper shifter PN 45053 is made with a shorter base to fit the aftermarket T-56. You must specify you need a shifter for that aftermarket tranny if you try someone elses brand. I have read Pro 5.0 makes one for the aftermarket T-56 as well.
