T5 Specifications
Hey Guys,
I'm in the middle of converting my Volvo over to a 350. I chose to run a T5 behind the 350 and I managed to pick one up for $60. Reason being, its out of a 300ZX turbo. The shaft is still 26 spline, and from visual looks alone its difficult to tell the difference. The gear case shaped a bit differently so I will probably have to get a machine shop to make an adapter plate so the tranny will bolt up to the back of the corvette bellhousing I am using. What I am wondering about is the difference in length between the input shafts of the two trannys. Rumor has it that the input shaft from the 300ZX turbo is a bit longer. Do any of you guys know the length of the shaft from the end of the shaft on the bellhousing side to the gear box. This way I will know how thick to make the plate.
