Wiring up reserve lockout on t56
Wiring up reserve lockout on t56
I suck with wiring so how exactly do I need to wire up the reverse lockout to the brakes on the t56? Do I just hook one of the wires up to a 12volt source and the other one to ground and brakes? Can anybody help me out here? Thanks in advance.

You don't really need the reverse lockout. I never hooked mine up. It just takes a little muscle to overcome it. If you really want it though, do a search under "T-56 reverse lockout", and you'll find the connector part # and how to wire it.
thanks for the quick reply. I don't have mine hooked up either and haven't for like 6 months but I'd just like to get it hooked up so its a little easier to get into reverse. I already got the connector from gm and there are only 2 wires in it. I already did a search but I can't find a link where anyone specifically said how to wire it up other than, 'wire it to the brakes'. Thanks though.

I have mine wired up to a toggle switch so I just flip the switch to go into reverse. The easiest way is to wire up to the fusebox.
