Drive Or Overdrive for in the city?

I've been told to use drive in the city, over drive on the highways + freeway, but I've also been told I could just leave it in overdrive all the time.

I've also noticed I use a lot more in gas using drive in the city instead of overdrive.

So, which one is the one to use, and what is the correct times to use them?

use overdrive. if you're going below 45 mph, the trans will stay in 3rd anyway, so its not like you have to keep it in drive to keep it in 3rd. just put it in drive when you're racing.
