couple of questions

Hey guys
Is it possible to use a posi unit out of a 87 s10 4x4 and swap it into my car?

and i just got a th350.what drive shaft will i need? whats the part # for the braket from b&m? and any other notes on doing the swap? speedo cable?

Its it possible to use the Limited Slip? It depends. There are many limiting factors. Up untill mid-year 1988, the carriers accepted 26 spline axles. If you have a car thats 89 or later, you will need the weaker 26 spline axels to make it work. Also, you will need to find out what gears it has. It may be a Series 2 carrier and you might have a Series 3 or vice-versa, which will make your gears non-interchangable. I have not seen an S-10 without a 7.5" rear, but you also want to make sure that it is indeed a 7.5".

As for the TH350, I don't know. I think thats an awful thing to do. Why swap to a 350? A 700R-4 if done right can be an awesome transmission. You can have a stout tranny and retain your overdrive.
