just got my car back from tranny shop after getting slp diff and 3.42s installed. The mechanic wanted me to find out if the speed sensor needs to be changed to fix the spedometer. Or just the appropriat driven and drive gears put in. Also part numbers for them... One thing i noticed right away with the gears with light trottle it reves up to 2,500 rpms then shifts into second(a lot harder of a shift too)-with the 2.73s with light throttle i could have it shift into second at 1,500 rpms. Does this all sound right.

 

What size tires do you have? I have the list from GM that gives gear P/N based on tranny, gears and tire sizes.

Speed sensor? I don't think so, I think you just need the appropriate speedo gears.

 

what year camaro? 92? doesn't he have the electronic speedometer?
