yellow transmission fluid?

I checked the transmission fluid in my truck the other day, and it was the right amount, but it was yellow. I was expecting red. It was the color of new oil. Anyone ever heard of a yellow transmission fluid? I bought the truck not too long ago, and never noticed it until now.
1974 Chevy C20 Pickup 1 ton 454 with TH400.

Thanks.

This was common in the mid 1970's, it had to do with voiding the warranty, if you changed your fluid (now red in color) they could tell, voided warranty. Gradually the "Big 3" lost in court on this.

If the fluid is in good shape (does not smell burnt or look burnt) leave it alone.
