quick question

Compairing the v6 to a v8 with the same 3.42 rears and 700r4 tranny (ok not "SAME" but still a 700r4) will the shift points still be the same compaired to rpm's and speed? See my speedo dont work yet and I just was trying to get a ruff estimate of speed, I know that as a v6 the car shifted out of 2nd at exactly 70mph, Different engine, same driveline. Same or different shift speeds?

Speed is a mathmatical equation based on factors such as Engine RPM, Transmission Gear Ratio, Rear Axle Ratio, Tire size, etc... If they both have a 700R-4, both have 3.42 gears, and both have same diamater tire (for example 26" tall), the shift point may vary, but the speed at a given RPM will be the same.
