Need Help!

I'm try ing to install a 2004R trans. and converter [out of 86 cutlass] to my sbc. The problem is that the converter doesn't seem to go back far enough even with the tangs lined up and pushed back[lock-upconv.] . I don't have any problem getting the conv. [non-lockup] on the 350 tranny to slide back. When I bolt on the 2004r the converter seems to be very tight against the flex plate.Anyone know why the lock - up conv. won't slide back as far as far as the non- lock-up on the 350trans.?

E-Z, how did that 200-4r turn out? What car did you get your TV
cable bracket from? Are you using the TV cable from the Cutlass
or a 700r-4 cable?

Ill let you know as soon as I get it bolted up. I did get the converter back about an inch, a slight tap on the snout of the converter witha piece of wood and a hammer after making sure the tangs were line up.
