Tranny problem

I was removing my transmittion last night and I ran into a problem. I couldn't get to the top 2 transmittion to engine bolts. Other than being double jointed, anybody have any tips, hints, or suggestions? Thanks.

Try using a 9/16" distributor wrench or a flat ratcheting wrench.

I just did that the other day. PULL THE DISTRIBUTOR. Youll thank me later. It seems to be the only way to get to the drivers side bolt. Use a long 9/16 boxend wrench from the top on both sides. you cant get to these from under the car. The problem is that the wiring harness goes back there and it has 2 metal straps around it with THOSE 2 BOLTS going through it holding it in place. Its a catch 22. you have to remove the wiring harness to get to the bolts but the bolts are holding the harness in place. It kinda sux. good luck!

I use a 36" extension w/ a 14mm swivel socket and a 3/8" Impact and get all six from behind the tranny in about 30 seconds.
