I was wondering if there were any ford 9 Inch rear ends that are similar in width to a stock 10 bolt in an 82 Trans Am? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, James

 

A long time ago I measured mine (gm stock) and went hunting with my buddy-he was looking for 9" housing to put in his Malibu, there are some that are pretty close, nothing a little rim offset could'nt correct, as far as what year they were *** only knows cause there were all lined up inside a old semi trailer. I'm ordering mine from www.quickperformance.com. He's near me 2hrs and a complete rear is only like $1600 with your choice of gear and you can upgrade to different posi's, lockers whatever. Check out his web sight or E-mail him, very friendly and about everyone at our track has him build their rears. I think just a empty housing with all the brackets on was like $800.
