Convertor lockup
Convertor lockup
I don't use the computer anymore in my car because I put in a carbed engine but heres the deal. I had Coan build my 700R up and build me a 3500 stall convertor to match my engine but I can't tell whether it is locking up or not. And yes I bought a lockup convertor and all the wires are connected to the tranny. But if i spent all the money to retain the lockup feature I want to be sure its working. And when i'm driving it, I never feel it lock up. It runs higher rpms in 4th than it ever did before. I don't know if going to a 10in convertor would do anything to it or not. If nyone has an idea of a wiring problem or has run across this let me know how to find out if its locking up or how to make it do so. Thanks

Put it in drive, once it goes into 3rd watch your tach, if it locks up the converter your rpms should drop some. Also, if your just cruising and you hit your brakes or gas pedal kind of hard, your rpms should shoot up when it unlocks. I take it you have an aftermarket lock up switch since you're not running a computer anymore?
