Most power to the ground
Alright, I have been doing a little browsing, trying to figure out what I would need to do. I am hopefully going to be building a 350-400hp 327 some day. I'm going to run a rebuilt 700r4 behind that...Don't know about stall...maybe 2800 or something. I know an aluminum driveshaft would be good as well.. but I am stumped as to the rearend. I would like to be able to run slicks on it. I am also going to be going with LCA relocation brackets as well. I'm shooting for 3.42 posi gears. But, what would I need to be able to handle the rest of the power? I doubt a stock rear could take the 350-400 flywheel power. I'm not sure though...This is my first time dealing with this stuff.
If anyone can help me out, I would appriciate it. If you need a list of what I have done so far, it's nothing...all stock for now. I want to be able to compete with some friends in their Trans Ams/Camaros with LS1s.. I know I might fall short, but it I want to see their faces when I take this from the 30 sec. stock to hopefully 12-13s. If it is possible to get lower... Woohoo!
